VISA OFFICER

The Migration Section within the Australian High Commission, Islamabad, has vacancies for locally engaged Visa Officers. These positions will be filled on a full time basis.

The Successful Candidate:

• Will provide assessments and recommendations on applications for Australian visas and citizenship and provide visa related client services to members of the public.
• Must have (or the ability to quickly obtain) a detailed knowledge of Australia’s legislative based visa processing system and the policies that support that system.
• Experience working with computer based decision and recording systems is also an essential component of the position.
• Must be able to converse fluently in both English and Urdu, and preferably other common languages used by clients (e.g. Dari).
