"Daughter of Faiz Sahib"Moneeza Hashmi re-elected President of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association(CBA)

Moneeza Hashmi has been associated with Electronic Media (TV) for the past 4 decades.Moneeza Hashmi‚ the first Pakistani and first ever woman President of Commonwealth Broadcasting Association was unanimously re-elected as the President of the organization for another two year term.She was elected as President of the CBA‚ at the concluding session of the three day conference in Brisbane‚ Australia.

Not a single country from 67 Commonwealth contested against Moneeza Hashmi's candidature.Moneeza Hashmi is the daughter of great Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz and has worked as Director Programs for PTV.

President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari felicitated Moneeza Hashmi,on being unanimously re-elected as the President of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association for another two years’ term. At the concluding session of the three-day conference in Brisbane,Australia.

Mrs.Moneeza Hashmi was again nominated for a two year term.The election commission declared her re-elected as no other candidate from 67 Commonwealth contested against her.Moneeza Hashmi is the daughter of great Pakistani poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz and has worked as Director Programs for Pakistan Television (PTV).

Moneeza Hashmi is the first Pakistani woman President of Commonwealth Broadcasting Association. “It is a matter of great satisfaction that the women of Pakistan continued their strides in every field of life”, the President Asif Zardai said in his message of felicitations.
