Arranged a Cruise Part in the Hunter Region

Pakistan Association of
Newcastle is a young organization that has been actively involved in providing
social and cultural events for the Pakistani community in the Hunter Region. On
Sunday 30th November 2008, the association organized a Lake Macquarie Cruise, which
was a great success with a large attendance enjoying a barbeque lunch and live
entertainment. Mrs Shahina Amir and Mrs Yasmin Hashmi are the office bearers of
this association. Saaniya, a young Pakistani singer, made the cruise even more
enjoyable by singing popular songs.
Lake Macquarie is only a short distance from Sydney, located between The Central
Coast and Newcastle. The lake itself is the largest coastal saltwater lake in
Australia, over four times the size of Sydney Harbour. The lake is 24 km long
and has 174 km of foreshore, with it's beautiful bays and beaches.
