Pakistan Association of Newcastle celebrated the 60th birthday of Pakistan on Saturday, 25th of August at a community centre in Newcastle. A large number of Pakistani community members attended the function. Young children presented different items in their colorful traditional clothes. Mrs. Yasmin Hashmi, President of PAN welcomed the guests including John Tate, Lord Mayor of Newcastle; Sharon Grierson, Labour Member of Parliament for Newcastle; Sonia, member State Asembly, representatives of ethnic community council and language school council and other important guests from Canberra. After the variety program, guests enjoyed dinner catered by Mr. Mark.
