Famous Pakistani Singer Shagufta Zia recorded her 6th Album in Auckland and coming to Sydney
Shagufta Zia, winner of
the "Pride of Performance Award" from (late Prime Minister of Pakistan , Madam
Benazir Bhutto in 1989) and also PAK TV Awarded her with "Best singer Anual
Award" in 1987. Since 1991 she is living Overseas. Shagufta have been promoting
and Enhancing our Music and Culture proudly. She have a great passion to help
those in need. She is natural singer and Naat khawan & participated in various
Oxfam International Charity shows in New Zealand and Abroad to help the victims
of Tsunami and Earthquake in Pakistan. Shagufta stayed Five years in Fiji and
get "Golden voice'' of Pakistan & Pacific" title Award through charity shows for
Heart and Stroke patients.
Over the past 12 years in New Zealand, Shagufta Zia 've been devoting her time,
energy and talent for serving all the Ethnic communities voluntary in the
celebration of Independent Day of Pakistan and other South Asian communities.
Performed in the Festivals and community Functions to introduce Pakistan and its
Music Nationally and Internationally. Being a Multilingual
Singer/writer/composer, she is registered member of APRA/AMCOS ( Australian
Performing and Copy Rights International Association ).
Shagufta have recorded 5 Globally hit Folk song Albums in Pakistan including 'Mehfile
Milad". Recently she recorded her 6th Album in Auckland. The readers of my
favorite newspaper, Sada-e-Watan can see the cover poof sample of it. Radio
Tarana will happily promote this cd named,
" A Melodic Journey Across Cultures " it will come soon in the Market.
Shagufta Zia is coming to Australia. On 7th Dec 08, she is flying from New
Zealand to Sydney and she will be in Sydney until 18th January 2009.
