Inauguration for the new office of Pakistan’s Consulate Sydney

The Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney is shifted on 32 Martin Place Sydney. The new office space is cheaper for Govt & better for visitors. On 17th December 2007, The High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia H.E. Jalil Abbas Jilani Inaugurated Resumption of Consular Services by Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney.

"I am delighted to open this new office facility and Visa, Passport services which is a testament to our efforts continually to improve the services we offer here in Australia. The Govt of Pakistan welcomes all visitors, businessmen and investors from Australia and we believe this new facility will make the process of applying for a Pak visa easier," H.E. Syed Jalil Abbas Jilani said.
 

Mr. Jilani said that the first consular to Sydney Mr. Khalid Mahmood is a senior officer of the foreign Ministry of Pakistan and I hope Mr. Khalid & Consul General Mr. Azam Mohammed will serve the community in a better way. I hope it will also be a good impact for the Tourism, Investment and trade between Pakistan & Australia. Business persons may now apply to the Consulate for multiple entries, business visa and the Consulate can issue business visas within 24 hours to all eligible business visa applicants.

The inauguration was attended by the Area Manager of Pakistan International Airlines Australia Mr. Nadeem Jafar and the Representatives of Pakistan Association of Australia Dr. Akram Hassan, Mr. Ijaz Ahmad & Syed Zafar Hussain. The community representatives thanked the High Commissioner Jalil Abbas Jilani for providing Visa, Passport and consular services in Sydney. They said that this one-stop for Pak visa applicants; removing the need for them to travel to the Pakistan High Commission in Canberra to submit their passports.
