Our Senior Cricketer of the Year
comes from our B13 side – Omar Khan. Omar was an absolute work horse with the
ball bowling 192 overs (admittedly off only 4-5 steps) which included 30
maidens. He took an incredible 57 wickets at a miserly average of 8.86. His
bowling highlights included five – five fors and two ten fors. These included
7/32, 7/22, 7/40 and in the Final against
Baulkham Hills where he took an amazing 6/16 & 5/40 to help the B13s to the
premiership. In addition he claimed a hat-trick
against Baulko in Rd 14. He also excelled with the bat scoring 217 runs at an
average of 15.50.Omar scored 2 fifties with the highest being 62 against Pendle
Hill in round 1, he also took 7 catches. Congratulations Omar a deserved winner
of our Senior Cricketer of the Year.
