Dinner with Ombudsman Immigration and Citizenship
Pakistan Association of
Australia will host a dinner in the honour of Ian Carnell Inspector General
Intelligence services and Dr Vivian Thom acting Ombudsman Immigration and
Citizenship on
Wednesday 28 November 2007 at 6:30 pm at
Lighthouse Function Centre,
80 George Street Parramatta Sydney
“Mr Ian Carnell has been the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security, an
independent statutory position, since March 2004. Prior to this he held several
senior Australian government positions, which ranged across administrative law,
policy and program administration, and fraud control and investigations.”
Dr Vivienne Thom was appointed Deputy Commonwealth Ombudsman in March 2006. Her
responsibilities include the Immigration, Law Enforcement, Taxation and Defence
jurisdictions. Prior to this appointment Dr Thom held senior positions in the
Treasury and Industry portfolios.

Both personalities will address the participants and answer question if any. The objective of this dinner is the introduction of Australian Pakistan community with both personalities. Australian Pakistani community are invited to participate. Contribution of $50.00 per person required at the door.
