PAA collect half a million dollars for Pakistan
Sydney: The Office bearers of Pakistan-Australia Association (PAA) held a luncheon meeting the CEO World Vision Australia Tim Costello here. Besides President PAA Ejaz Khan, Dr. Akram Hassan, Iftikhar Rana, Insaf Ali Khan and Kashif Amjed attended the luncheon. Head of World Vision NSW Ms Jenace, Janet, Camaron, Catherine Long and World Vision Media Head Martin were also present. Mr. Costello who is the brother of Federal Treasurer Peter Costello thanked PAA for their continuous and untiring efforts to collect donations for the earthquake victims in Pakistan. The CEO World Vision informed that so far PAA has donated $500,000 while a total of $1.7 million has been collected through earthquake appeal. The donations were still pouring in, he said. Tim Costello handed over a letter of appreciation to PAA president Ejaz Khan thanking him of his and Associations’ effort to help earthquake victims.
