Pakistan Association arranged Independence Day Celebrations at Himalaya Emporium

Pakistani distinguished community from all walks of life came together to celebrate their annual Independence Day function on Friday, 14th August 2015. The Grand event was successfully and popularly organised by Pakistan Association of Australia and was attended by local Australian, Pakistanis as well as Lebanese community and local Australians. The event was made successful by cheer joy and jubilation on faces of Pakistanis young adult and children.
PAA Function of Independence day of Pakistan was held at Himalaya Emporium Function Centre, Bankstown Sydney. The New South Wales Minister for Ageing, Disability Services and Multiculturalism the Honourable John Ajaka was Chief Guest who arrived before starting programme. In his speech, Minister John Ajaka appreciates the positive role of the Migrants for achievements of Australian society. He said that I came to this country from Lebanon and I proud for my background. The Minister Hon. John Ajaka congratulates Pakistani Australians and said that it is fact that Majority of Pakistani Migrants and Students are living in New South Wales. He said that as a representative of the Premier Honourable Mike Baird MP, I salute positive contribution of Australian Pakistani people settled in this God gifted country Australia.

The function was attended by Honourable Shaoquett Moselmane MLC, Member of Lakemba Jihad Dib MP, Consul General of Pakistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili, Vice Consul Bushra Salam, Former Consul General Azam Mohammed, Famous Noha Khawan Syed Nadeem Raza Sarwar, Leading Scholar Maulana Shoaib Naqvi, President Federal Pakistan Australia Consul Iftikhar Rana and other dignitaries. Her Excellency Naela Chohan, The High Commissioner for Pakistan to Australia was special guest of the celebration who came especially from Canberra to Sydney for attending Pak Independence day event.
The New elected President Pakistan Association of Australia Mr. Abbas Rana welcomes all guests and explain about his future plan for community service. All speakers talk about progress and development of Pakistan and close friendly relationship between Pakistan and Australia.
