Association hosted an Eid Milan Party at NSW Parliament House Sydney
The Pakistan Association of
Australia and Hon Nathan Hagarty MP, State Member for Leppington Sydney hosted
a Parliamentary Reception to mark Eid Celebration on the evening of Tuesday 6
May 2025 at the NSW Parliament House Sydney. The reception was well attended by
key leaders of the Pakistani Community along with the Consul General of
Pakistan, Mr. Qamar Zaman, a visiting delegation of Rice Exporters Association
of Pakistan led by Mr. Chela Ram and Hon Members of the NSW Parliament.

The celebration started with a Quranic recitation
from Mr. Zawar Shah and inspiring speeches by community leaders, Hon MPs and
the President of Pakistan Association of Australia Mr. M Iqbal Choaudhry.
Mr Choaudhry emphasized on the value of unity and
inclusivity and referred to the event as an evening of unity, joy and community
spirit.

Buttigieg MLC addressed the audience with messages of inclusivity, gratitude
and commitment, underscoring the significance of Eid ul Fitr in fostering
cultural richness and social cohesion, thereby reaffirming the government's
commitment to supporting ethnic communities and promoting inclusivity.
Guests had the opportunity to network and engage in
meaningful discussions on inclusivity and multiculturalism in Australia, while
enjoying light refreshments. The celebration was more than a formal event. It
was a gathering that brought members of the Pakistani community to honour the
spirit of Eid. Many attendees shared how special it was to celebrate Eid in the
Heart of Parliament.”
The President of Pakistan
Association of Australia Mohammad Iqbal Choaudhry and the General Secretary
Mr. Nabeel Khan extended their sincere thanks to all distinguished guests and
particularly the NSW Parliamentarians and MLCs who joined us for this special
celebration and helped make the event a great success. The resident also
commended and thanked the entire team of PAA especially Senior Vice President
Mr, Ashraf Ali Chohan, General Secretary Mr, Nabeel Khan, Coordinator Mr, Irfan
Shehzad Chohan and Vice President Parvez Khan who put untiring efforts towards
the success of the event.
