Pakistan Association of Australia Celebrates Mother’s Day with Heartfelt Event in Bankstown
The event was led by Sanam Mukhtar, the Cultural Secretary of PAA, whose passionate coordination ensured a smooth and memorable experience for all. The program commenced with a soulful Tilawat-e-Quran followed by a Naat, setting a spiritual and respectful tone. This was followed by a series of engaging speeches that highlighted the central role of mothers in shaping communities and future generations.
Adding to the occasion’s prestige was the presence of distinguished guests including Mrs Muniba Qamar Zaman, Secretary General of ICAN Talat Malik, Dr Sadia Ahmed, and many other respected personalities. Their attendance and words of encouragement elevated the event’s significance and reflected the strength and unity of the Pakistani community in Australia.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was a personalised voice message from the legendary Mrs Uzma Gillani, which served as a beautiful and emotional reminder of the love, sacrifices, and strength of mothers. This heartfelt tribute resonated deeply with the audience and became one of the highlights of the evening.

Another cherished moment was the cake cutting ceremony — a joyful and symbolic celebration that brought smiles to every face. The beautifully decorated cake, generously sponsored by Moazma Ikram, was not only delicious but also a visual delight, adding sweetness and charm to the event.
The stunning decoration of the venue, generously sponsored by Sabah Nasir, further enhanced the atmosphere. Her elegant and thoughtful setup made the space look festive, warm, and perfect for the celebration, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mrs Muniba Qamar Zaman, Talat Malik, Moazma Ikram, Humaira, Qandeel, Sabah Nasir, and all others who assisted and contributed their time and energy to make this event a tremendous success. Their dedication helped create a warm, respectful, and joyous environment that truly honoured the spirit of Mother’s Day.
