Pak Aus Engineers (PAE) Annual Gala Event at Liverpool Sydney
On Saturday, 25th
Oct 2025, the Pak Aus Engineers (PAE) successfully hosted its highly
anticipated annual event at the recently developed Liverpool Civic Place Sydney,
drawing together an impressive assembly of dignitaries, industry professionals,
and community association leaders from across Australia.
The evening commenced at 6:45 pm with a soulful recitation and the National
anthems of Pakistan and Australia, setting a tone of respect and unity.
PAE’s General Secretary, Mr. Fuad Ahmed, opened the event by outlining the
association’s mission, objectives, and the profiles of its executive committee,
highlighting PAE’s growing contribution to the professional and social
landscape of Pakistani engineers in Australia.
PAE President, Mr. Insaf Khan, delivered a warm welcome address, extending
heartfelt appreciation to the event’s sponsors and key supporters, while also
reflecting on the association’s achievements since the last annual event.
The evening featured insightful presentations from leading professionals,
including:

A special segment honoured globally renowned Pakistani innovators, such as
Shahid Khan, Dr. Naweed Iman Syed, Dr. Tasneem Zehra, Dr. Asad M. Madni, and
Dr. Atta-ur-Rahman, showcasing Pakistan’s immense contributions to global
science and engineering.
The panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Shujaat Syed (PAE
Treasurer), featured distinguished panellists Mr. Abid Ahmed, Mr. Khalid Javed,
Dr. Syed Muzahir Abbas, Mrs. Muniba Zaman, and Distinguished Professor Dr.
Rahat Munir, engaging in thoughtful dialogue on innovation, leadership, and the
evolving role of engineers in a global context.
Keynote speeches were delivered by prominent guests:

• Councillor Richard Ammoun of Liverpool City council
• Mrs. Tina Ayyad, Member for Holsworthy and Liberal Party representative
• Ms. Anne Stanley, Government Whip and Labor Party MP
• Mr. Qamar Zaman, Consul General of Pakistan for Australia, New Zealand, and
Fiji, and Minister for Trade and Investment
• His Excellency Mr. Irfan Shaukat, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia
The evening also included a sponsors’
acknowledgment segment, extending appreciation to Altoor Engineering

key announcement of the night came from Dr. Rahat Munir, who pledged to provide
scholarships to deserving professionals through the PAE forum, underscoring the
Association’s ongoing commitment to education and professional development.
The event was also attended by various community leaders and media members like
Zafar Hussain Shah of Sada-e-Watan, Shafaq Jaffery President of AUS- Pak Woman
Association and CEO of Pechan TV, Munir Muhammad CEO of Memon Association and
Rabitah Magazine, President of Pakistan Australia Association Solicitor Ejaz

The event was also attended by various Engineering
Associations like UTE Alumni Association, Nepal Engineering Association. Sri
Lanka Engineering Association.
The event concluded with closing remarks by President Mr. Insaf Khan, who
extended gratitude to all attendees, sponsors, and volunteers before officially
opening the dinner. The memorable evening concluded around 11:00 pm, marking
another milestone in PAE’s journey of excellence, collaboration, and service.
