Pakistan Association of Newcastle hosted the celebrations for Pakistan Independence Day.Chief Guest was the High Commissioner of Pakistan, Her Excellency Ms Fauzia Nasreen, who travelled from Canberra to attend the function. Other dignitaries included Federal Member of Parliament, Hon. Sharon Grierson, Newcastle Lord Mayor John Tate, and Mr Hamid Asghar Khan, Acting Consul General of Pakistan Sydney . The night included a cultural program and speeches by H.E. Fauzia Nasreen, Hon. Ms Sharon Grierson and Lord Mayor John Tate. Delicious dinner was provided by Himaliya Restaurant in Sydney.
