The High Commissioner of Pakistan H.E.Syed Ibne Abbas was the Keynote Speaker at the Pakistan Independence Day Celebrations in New Zealand
Pakistan Association of New Zealand Celebrated the 63rd INDEPENDENCE DAY on 8th of August at the Dorothy Winston Centre in the city of Auckland.The function was honoured by His Excellency Syed Ibne Abbas High Commissioner of Pakistan to New Zealand along with Honorable Pansy Wong Minister of the Ethnic Affairs,Dr Rajan Parsad MP,Dr Ashraf Choudhry MP,Hon John Banks Mayor of Auckland, Jaris d Bret, Race Relations Commissioner and more than a thousand Pakistanis.
His Excellency Syed Ibne Abbas reiterated the importance of the day and appealed for remembering people in trouble and do all possible to help them. His Excellency Syed Ibne Abbas was the keynote speaker. The chief Guest Pansy Wong talked about the human catastrophe and announced a two million dollars donation to Pakistan.
The President of Pakistan Association of New Zealand Mr Mohammad Tauqir Khan appealed to the audience for donating funds and described the conditions in Pakistan alarmingly devastating and substantial amount was raised.
