Independence Day Function held in Sydney
The Pakistan Australia Association organised a colourful event for the celebration of Pakistan's Independence day. The function was held at Civic Centre, Ryde Sydney and was attended by more than 600 guests including diplomats and important Australian Politicians. There was a variety of entertainment throughout the whole night. PAA officially launched its website by the Representative of the Prime Minister of Australia. The food was prepared by Ustad Mushtaq of Himalaya restaurant. Rana Motors donated 4 DVD players to the Raffle draw and Minhas Zulfiqar of Crowne Plaza gave complimentary vouchers dinner for two. During the function there was a ongoing PowerPoint presentation of local Pakistani operated businesses and was showing Jashn-e-Azadi messages from important Pakistani Community personalities including Sada-e-Watan Sydney, Habib Finance Australia and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Mr. Khurram Qaiser and Farjad Mahmood done a remarkable comedy about the Pakistani army, politicians and Pakistani diplomats. This program was held on 13th August and went through to 14th August. When the actual date changed the majority of the crowd became emotional and were dancing and were celebrating with load cheering " PAKISTAN ZINDABAD". On behalf of the Pakistani Community living in Australia Sada-e-Watan Sydney would like to congratulate the PAA executive team for organising such a magnificent event with a decent gathering & intelligent speakers and the best selected local artists.
