Pakistan participate in World Music Festival
Bhartia Vidya Bhavan Australia arranged a marvels 2nd World Music Festival 2005 on 2 October 2005 at Town Hall Sydney. John Acquilina Speaker NSW Parliament was the chief guest. Among other dignitaries, Indian High commissioner and Consul general, Consul general of Turkey, Consul General of Argentina, Macedonia, Serbia, Pakistan and Mayor from various Sydney councils were present. The key note of the festival was “Peace” No war.
PAA president Mr. Ejaz ur Rehman Khan were invited as Representative of Pakistani community living in Australia. PAA also contributed to the festive by presenting Pakistani folk music through Imran Akbar who performed peacock dance before 2500 participants and PAA Cultural Secretary Farjad Mehmood present the back ground commentary of the peacock dance and thanks to the organisers for giving Pakistan first time an opportunity to show the world that we are not fundamentalist we are peace lovers.
