Australian Attorney General calls on FM of Pakistan

Mr. Philip Ruddook MP, Attorney General of Australia called on Foreign Minister of Pakistan Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri at his office in Islamabad and exchanged views on the bilateral relations. Foreign Minister Kasuri expressed satisfaction at the growing relationship between Pakistan and Australia, especially over the last few years. He thanked Australia for the 500 scholarships.
The two sides discussed the processes to reduce the time frame for facilitation of Australian visa to Pakistan nationals. Other matters pertaining to Pakistani community in Australia were also discussed.
The Foreign Minister briefed the Australian Attorney General on the progress on composite dialogue with India, aimed at addressing all outstanding issues, including the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
Later the Attorney General Philip Ruddock left for India, where he held meetings on national security and other issues such as legal trade with Australia. According to travel schedule, Mr. Philip Ruddock will return to Australia on the weekend.
