Quran Khawani to mark Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary held in Sydney
The third martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was observed in Australia with great zeal and respect renewing the pledge to make Pakistan strengthened and viable in all aspects, according to the vision and roadmap given by the twice-elected Prime Minister Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, the first woman to become prime minister of a Muslim country, was martyred on December 27, 2007 in a gun and suicide attack after addressing an election rally in Rawalpindi.
A Quran Khawani to mark the third death anniversary of Shaheed Mohatarma Benazir Bhutto was held at Mount Druitt Sydney on Monday, 27 Dec at the residence of Mr.M. Hanif Muqaddam President Overseas Pakistan People Party of Australia. The office bearers of PPP & prominent people from different walks of life attended the Quran Khawani. Later, participants offered dua for the eternal peace of the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
Mr. Hanif Muqaddam paid glowing tributes to Shaheed-e-Jamhuriat, who was a brave and visionary leader having a strong commitment to build a modern and democratic Pakistan. Mr. Hanif Muqaddam said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for democracy & empowerment of people at grassroots level and we believed “Zinda Hai Bibi Zinda Hai.”
