6 Anniversary Celebration of Rabitah International & Grand Dinner will be held in Sydney on 18 May 2012
Not long ago a Pakistani businessman had started a community magazine to cater for the social, religious, cultural and linguistic needs of the Pakistani community in Australia
In 2006 Mr Munir Mohammad had started a Magazine “Rabitah” in Urdu language. Being the only Urdu publication in Australia, it was well received and was immensely applauded by the Pakistani Community.
The Management of Rabitah was greatly gratified by the positive response and appreciation, at the same time, a few Pakistani intellectuals pointed out that the monolingual Magazine could not project abroad the true image of Pakistan and did not portray her achievements.
Therefore in 2008 following the advice of the community the management had decided to change it into a bilingual one.
Since 2010 Rabitah International has been giving awards to the outstanding individual and the successful business man who migrated from the sub-continent, these awards are given away by the Pakistani and Australian dignities every year.
The magazine has been as well receiving awards from individuals & various organizations including bilingual online paper Sada-e-Watan.
This year 6th annual dinner and prize giving ceremony shall take place on the 18th of May 2012 in Sydney.
