2nd TAPE BALL CRICKET TOURNAMENT

A Major Sports activity event of Australian Pakistani Community was held on Monday 3 October 2011 on Long Weekend at the Clemton Park Kingsgrove (Roselands) Sydney from 10.00am – 5.00pm.
There were 12 Teams participating in the "2nd TAPE BALL CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2011". PCCC Canberra came all the way from Canberra ACT to participate it and Won this Competition. Around 300 people attended this community based event from different countries. The Tournament was Organised by Munawar Hassan from Roselands NSW. We also promote VISION AUSTRALIA in this cricket tournament who supports Blindness and Low Vision Services.
With Playing first in the Finals "PCCC Canberra" Scored 131 runs with the lost of 6 Wickets in reply "Super Ret 11" Scored 120 runs with the lost of only 1 wicket. The Man of the Match for the Final was Anjum Abbasi from PCCC Canberra. Mr. Shafique from Super Ret 11 was the top scorer and Man of the tournament. Mr. Afzaal Anjum from PCCC Canberra was the best bowler of the tournament.
In SemiFinals "PCCC Canberra" Beats Nadeem Eleven by 6 wickets while on other hand Super Ret 11 beats Cheetah by 3 Wickets.
The tournament was played with the Great Spirit for the game of cricket, and all the 132 players and their supporters who participated in the tournament had a great day.
After a long journey and hard work PCCC Canberra's dream came true. Well deserve CHAMPIONS. Through Sada-e-Watan, we would like to thanks everyone who attends and participated this event along with the umpires and referees.
