PM felicitate Kevin Rudd on Australian election Victory
The President of
Pakistan Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro have
felicitated Prime Minister-elect of Australia Kevin Rudd on his victory in the
recent elections. The President and the Prime Minister in their separate
messages to the Prime Minister-elect of Australia extended their warmest
felicitations on his resounding victory in the elections and hoped that under
his leadership Australia will continue to prosper and play its important role
for international peace, stability and cooperation.
President Musharraf in his message said, “I am pleased to learn your resounding
victory in the election. It is indeed a manifestation of the trust and
confidence reposed in your leadership by the people of Australia.”
He said Pakistan and Australia enjoy friendly relations which are growing at a
steady pace, adding, “we share a common desire to have peace and stability and
we are partners in the fight against terrorism.”
The President expressed his confidence that “our multi-dimensional ties will
continue to grow under your leadership.”
Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro in his message said, “your election to this
high office is a tribute to your leadership qualities and the contribution you
have made during your illustrious political career.”
He expressed his confidence that under the leadership of Prime Minister-elect
Kevin Rudd, Australia will continue to prosper and play its important role for
international peace, stability and cooperation.
“It is a matter of satisfaction for us that relations between our two countries
are marked by a mutual desire to further strengthen them. I look forward to
working with Your Excellency in expanding the mutually beneficial ties between
our two countries,” the Prime Minister Soomro said.
