SBS Asian Earthquake Fundraising
Sydney Radiothon 2005

Thunderstorms and cold weather augur more misery for survivors of the Kashmir earthquake with winter around the corner. The scale of this humanitarian disaster continues to grow, with 2.5 million people homeless and another million people in extreme grief. More than 8000 schools, colleges and university have been destroyed. Several Australian ethnic groups are enthusiastic about any immediate and urgent fund raising Radiothon. Since the situation is changing every hour, SBS radio with collaboration of AUSTCARE Australia is running an immediate fundraising Radiothon campaign from Sunday 23rd. Oct. SBS one hour live show will be dedicated to this campaign. Everyone is encouraged to donate for this noble cause. All donations will be announced on Air in this live program. Please contact SBS radio Urdu language Sydney centre for donation.
Thousands homeless are still waiting in chill nights for help to arrive. Hundred burial yet to be finished and thousand children are looking for safe hands before they lost their life. Hundred of seriously wounded struggling for their lives in make-shift hospitals due to shortage of medical supplies.
We are the one can make the difference. Let others feel our presence.
