Ejaz to
participate in a National Security Forum

SYDNEY: Elected Leader of
the Pakistani community and President of PAA Mr. Ejaz Khan will attend a 2-day ‘National Security For
a Diverse Community Forum’ in Canberra from 2 to 3 August.
The forum is being held under the aegis of Attorney General’s Department. The
Forum will discuss various security challenges being faced by Australia in view
of fast changing international security environment.
The Forum would look at the issue of national security with the perspective of
diverse Australian society. The Forum which would be addressed by academics,
security analysts, political and community leaders would analyse the various
aspects of the national security.
The President PAA Ejaz Khan has been invited to participate in the Forum as a
representative of Pakistani community.
In a press release issued here Ejaz Khan said, “The Forum would provide
community leaders particularly Pakistani and Islamic community leaders an
opportunity to participate in the policy making process.”
The key speakers at the Forum Kevin Andrews, Minister for Immigration and
Citizenship, Mike Smith, Ambassador for Counter Terrorism, Mick Keetly,
Commissioner Australian Federal Police, Robert Cornall, Secretary Attorney
General’s Department, Ian Carnell Inspector General of Intelligence and
Security, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed, media and community representative, Islamic Council
of Victoria representative.
