MWA CELEBRATES BIRTHDAYS IN SHAABAN

Muhammadi Welfare Association Inc celebrated the holy birthdays of Imam Hussain (E.S) Imam Zain-ul-Abadeen (E.S) and Hazrat Abbas (E.S) which all occurred in the holy month of Shaaban. A comprehensive 2 days Jashan on the Friday, 17th and Saturday, 18th of August, 2007 were held at the MWA Centre, Granville Sydney NSW.

On the 17th, a Mafil-e-Mosalaymah was held. Following poets/ reciters read their poetry: Syed Najim Sibtain Hasni, Dr Shabbir Haider,Arif Sadiq, Syed Ghulam Abbas Gillani,  Touqir Hasnain, Nasim Haider,  Sohail Raza, Asad Ali, Hasan Raza Zaidi,  Imran Naziri and others. Syed Najim Sibtain Hasni was the MC of this function. In addition to the above a famous poet Syed Mohammad Hasan Abbas Rizvi (Ahsan) was specially invited from India who also recited his specific poetry. He is currently visiting Melbourne. The next evening on the 18^th of August, a renowned scholar Maulana Sadiq Hasan from Melbourne spoke about the lives of the three holy people and the impact of their sacrifice on the humanity.
