A Famous Poet of Western
Australia Mr.Shahid Tirmazi Arif's five poetry books ceremony will be held at
Australia Asia house Perth on Friday 30th, April 2010 at 7pm.There will be a
Mushaira after the opening of the books. President of Urdu Society of Australia,
Dr Kausar Jamal will be the chief guest of the function.
The Pakistan Association of Western Australia is organising this event.
According to Media Release to Sada-e-Watan,5 books of poetry at once printed &
opening is a record in Pakistan. The event was covered by a vast majority of
media people, journalist, artist etc. The opening ceremony in Pakistan was a
great success and was held in Alhamra Art Council Lahore & attended by a big
group of famous poets & writers i.e Nasir Zaidi,Agha Amir Hussein, Asghar Nadeem
Sayed & Prof Yousaf Najmi. Mr Fakhar Zaman Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters
was Chief Guest at Lahore Function.
The opening ceremony of the 5 books in Perth are,1. Raks-e-zeast (Ghazals in
Urdu)
2. Ik Sher-e-sitam (poems in Urdu) -3. Ghamon pay Hamla (Comedy poems in Urdu)
4. Pehlay Pakistan (National Poems in Urdu)-5. Hun tay hass po (Comedy punjabi
poems)
