The AMU Alumni of Australia is celebrating its 2005 Sir Syed Day on Saturday, 1 October, 2005. The function has been brought forward due to holy month of Ramadan. As usual the function has children programs, a Urdu comedy skid by Old Aligarians entitled " sehre mein Marsiya Aur Marsiye Mein Sehra". The second part of the function has been dedicated to the musical program by Mr. Riaz Shah & Company. As you may be aware that Alumni is currently providing 41 scholarships to needy and meritorious university students. This year we are launching another program for Primary school Students with 50 scholarships. We will be providing 30 scholarships to girl students and 20 to male students. In order to raise funds for this purpose we are publishing a souvenir in English and Urdu. The gate money of this SS Day will also be utilised for Primary School Scholarship.
