Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh Nisar Ahmed Khuhro is on official visit of Australia

The Association of Parliamentary Libraries of Australasia (APLA) is a collaborative network of federal and state parliamentary libraries in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. The Association promotes information sharing between member libraries, advocates quality client service delivery and advances the profession of parliamentary librarianship.

The 2011 International Symposium “Fundamental to democracy”: parliamentary research and library services is holding at the Australian Parliamentary Library Canberra from 1-4 March 2011. Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh is on official visit of Australia for participating in this International Symposium Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh is also coming to Sydney for short visit before departure to Karachi.

     

Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro

Nisar Ahmad Khuhro was born in Larkana 22nd September 1950, he is son of Muhammad Nawaz Khuhro. He is currently the Speaker of provincial Assembly of Sindh. He has been a member of of Pakistan Peoples Party from a long time.He was Leader of Opposition in 2002-2007 – Provincial Assembly of Sindh. Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was Leader of Opposition 1997-1999 – Provincial Assembly of Sindh and also he was President of PPP Sindh in 1997. He was provincial Minister for Planning & Development in 1993 and theVice President of PPP Sindh in 1993. He was Deputy Leader of Opposition in 1990 – Provincial Assembly of Sindh and District President of PPP (Larkana) in 1990. Mr. Khuhro Took Oath as speaker on April 7th 2008 of the First Session of Assembly. He is elected member of PS-36 Larkana II.He is very popular in Sind and all Pakistan. There was Votes Polled 49263 in recent general Election and Mr. Nisar Ahmed Khuhro was elected with 46427 Votes.
