Pakistani Tennis Star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi reached the quarterfinals of Sydney Open Tennis Tournament
The Sydney International, (Formerly known as the New South Wales Open, with various title sponsors) currently sponsored as the Medibank International Sydney, is a professional tennis tournament in Sydney, Australia. The tournament is played annually at the Sydney Olympic Park Tennis Centre in Homebush. It is one of the oldest tennis tournaments in the world.
The NSW Open was played at the White City complex, close to the Sydney CBD, but since the 2000 the event has been played at the Sydney International Tennis Centre, in Homebush, a suburb of Western Sydney, which was constructed for the tennis events at the 2000 Olympic Games. The venue consists of 15 outdoor courts and a centre court. The annual Medibank International Sydney Tennis open tournament is starts at Sydney Olympic Park from Sunday 9th January 2011. Pakistani Tennis Star Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi is also participating in this important sports event.
Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi was born on 17 March 1980 in Lahore, Pakistan. He is a professional tennis player from Pakistan. Presently he is one of the top players of Pakistan. His highest Single Race ranking is 103rd and he is former Asian No. 3 player. He is also in top 30 doubles players. He is only Pakistani tennis player who reach in final of Grand Slam, which he did in 2010.
