The Centre for Muslim States and Societies arranged an International Urdu Poetry Recitation Bazm-e-Sarfraz Mushaira in Perth Western Australia. This function was held at the University Club Auditorium of the University of Western Australia.
Internationally renowned poet of Urdu from USA Ifti Naseem and Nosheen Gilani specially attended the Perth Mushaira. Mr. Shahid Tirimazi Arif and other local poets also recited their poems. Dr. Samina Yasmeen was the main organizer of the event who also sent a few photos to Sada-e-Watan. The occasion was in memory of Dr. Samina's mother, Begum Sarfraz Iqbal who passed away in Aug 2003, patron of Urdu literature in Pakistan, columnist, author.
