Pakistan Appointed Waqar Younis Bowling & Fielding Coach for tour of Australia
Pakistan have appointed renowned fast bowler and former captain and Waqar Younis as a bowling and fielding coach for their tour of Australia."Waqar has agreed to serve as fielding and bowling coach for the tour of Australia after we requested his services for the job," Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Nadeem Sarwar said on Wednesday night of 9th Dec 2009. Waqar Younis who has settled in Sydney Australia and who works as a television commentator left the Pakistan bowling coach job in 2007 after a dispute with the former PCB leadership. Waqar Younis took 373 wickets in 87 Tests and 416 wickets in 262 one-day internationals during his illustrious playing career. He also led Pakistan in the 2003 Cricket World Cup before retiring in 2004.
