Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat is on official visit of Australia

General Zubair Mahmood Hayat is the 16th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. A four-star rank army general of the Pakistan Army, he assumed office on 28 November 2016.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Pakistan General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, NI (M) is currently visiting Australia for an official visit. It is his second visit of Australia as the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.

On Wednesday, 25th Sept 2019, the afternoon tea was arranged at Pakistan High Commission Canberra where General Zubair Mahmood Hayat addressed Pakistani Community members. General Zubair Mahmood Hayat expressed deep concerns about current situation in Kashmir and reiterated Pakistan’s full support for Kashmiris. General Zubair Mahmood Hayat also talks about restoration of peace in Fata area. The local Pak Community representatives appreciated Pak army positive Role and their efforts in restoration of peace in Dera Ismail Khan and how people are grateful to Pak Army.

The High Commissioner Mr. Babar Amin hosted a Reception in honour of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Zubair Mahmood Hayat (NI) and Defence Delegation, visiting Australia. The High Commissioner Babar Amin praised the Pakistani Community as a strong pillar in bilateral relations of Australia & Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, General Zubair Hayat gave an overview of the regional security environment, Kashmir situation and Afghan peace process. He also shared with the attendees Pakistan’s stance on recent developments in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
