Major General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad is on a short tour to Australia as a Guest Lecturer – International Studies, Faculty of Arts & Design, University of Canberra. Major General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed, served as the General Officer Commanding an Infantry Division conducting counter insurgency operations in the Swat Valley in northern Pakistan in 2009. Brigadier Zahoor Ahmed has recently taken charge from out going Defense Advisor Brigadier Mr. Babar Virk.

President of Pakistan Cultural Association Khawar Saleem has welcomed Major General Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad and  "Brigadier Zahoor Ahmed" the DEFENSE ADVISOR to Pakistan High Commission in Australia.

As a Lieutenant Colonel, Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmad was a faculty member at the Pakistan Command and Staff College. He has commanded both an Infantry Battalion and an Infantry Brigade. He has been the one of the Directing Staff of the Staff War College, National Defence University and the Chief of Staff of a Corps. He was commissioned into an Infantry Battalion in 1980. He graduated with an MSc (War Studies) from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad in 2002 and an MSc (National Resource Strategy) from the US Industrial College of Armed Forces in Washington in 2006. During his career he has served in various staff, instructional and command appointments. As a Major he was on the faculty of the School of Infantry and Tactics and later served as Brigade Major in an Infantry Brigade.
