H.E. Abdul Malik Abdullah Hosted Briefing for the Participants of National Management Course Delegation

 

 Ten member National Management Course (NMC), Pakistan, delegation headed by Rector, National School of Public Policy, Mr. Muhammad Ismail Qureshi, visited Canberra from Dec 01-05, 2013. On their arrival on December 01, 2013, the High Commissioner His Excellency Abdul Malik Abdullah hosted a briefing for the participants of the visiting delegation at his residence. The briefing was followed by the dinner.

 Pakistan’s National School of Public Policy (NSPP) is the premier institution for imparting training to Pakistan’s senior government officers and executives from the corporate sector. This mandatory training is called National Management Course (NMC).  These trainees, once they complete this course, would be promoted to the senior most government posts responsible for many spheres of public affairs like Law and Order, diplomacy, trade and development etc. Purpose of the Foreign Study Tours is to study some specific areas of government and private sectors of the host country with particular focus on the policy formulation and implementation process.

During their stay in Canberra they visited Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade(DFAT), Department of Immigration Australia, Australian Centre of International Agriculture Research(ACAIR), Australian Federal Police(AFP), CSIRO, Australian Institute of International Affairs(AIIA), Australian National University(ANU),  Prime Minister and Cabinet office and Department of Agriculture and Fisheries(DAFF).
